crazy paved drive way mortar gaps repair

On my drive which is sort of crazy paved not colorful
There are gaps between some of the stones where the
Mortar? has gone and weeds are growing.

What should I put in to fill it up/repair?

rake it out and use a damp mix of mortar to re-point it
