I have sanded a pine floor in a small room. To finish the job I put moose moulding round the skirting (there was none there previously). After nailing the moulding into place I found it (or the floorboards) creaked loudly when I walked on the floor so have had to take said moulding up again.
Any suggestions for curing the problem? I did think of running either a draught excluder under the moulding or a silicone bead but would appreciate an expert opinion.
