...advice on a couple of things please...
I want to buy a crimper. Any recomendations? Also, most are for sizes up to 6mm2. I can envisage a situation where a shower unit is replaced and the cable will not reach the new terminals. Given adequate space within the unit, would you recommend crimping 10mm2 as a solution? If so, I really need to buy a crimper suitable for 10mm2 too. ??
Thanks.

10 mm crimps are usually uninsulated
Therefore seperate crimpers that do 10 and 16 are made

These are more for fitting lugs as IMO thru crimping 10mm and above, although allowed should if possible be avoided.

1) Rachet type with adjustable compression (look for a star shaped adjuster on the tool handle)
2) One that crimps the same in both directions unlike some that need the wire to enter from the left side only. Ones that crimp in both directions are easier in arkward spaces
