my company interviewed 30 odd people for my job 2 blokes walked out scrathing there head muttering, needless to say they where in there 40s an self employed!
 
If your good and your business skills are half decent you can make alot more than you are now for less hours being SE. Its nothing to be ashamed of if you couldn't cut it. its not for everyone.

That young michael is bullshit tbh. i know 2 or 3 excellent gas fitters all the have commercial an they earn 40k but they have to pay for a van,tools gas safe training, insurance petrol, the list is endless. dont try to kid yourself iv done this job too long

doesnt matter if they're the best gas fitters in the world, means nothing if they don't have work. Get the work and you earn good money, more, fact, if it wasn't I'd go back to paye. You don't know cos you couldn't do it. as i say, don't stress about it, you can't be good at everything.
 
Just think how much you could earn if you learned how to spell, or use the spell check.

BG pay may be quite average but so are the hours. I will be lucky if I'm doing 20 hours a week just now. Winter hours are obviously harsh at a supposed 45 but it's all about how you play it.
