Circular duct?

CSA = PI x radius²

E.g. 125mm diameter

CSA = 3.1416 x (125/2)²

= 12272 mm²

or 122.72 cm²
or 0.012272 m²

it's 720mm by 830mm am lost! iv got to i need to check the vent you
see at high an low as it's got a load of gas pipes in it.

thanks

is it 0.720 times 0.830

I know it's got to be a minimum of 0.01m2

I just want to know exactly that's all

cheers

White the most simple way to get it to m2

I'll get back to you in 30 minutes. My 5 yr old neice is coming around, and I'll ask her.

(mm X mm) / 1000000 =m2

0.01m2 is 100cm2

I find it easiest to convert at the beginning rather than the end.

0.72m X 0.83m

If you have an iPhone,go into app store and type

Convert units: theres a free app that's very good an covers everything you'll need include temp,pressure,length,area etc.

I did think it was a **** take at first, but upon reflection and realising he's that thick to only fit ideal boilers that maybe he could be simple enough to struggle with basic maths. :wink:
