CSCS Cards

Im thinking of going back on site been a builder for the last 20 odd years, going back to bricklaying i was told that CSCS have changed ownership and was told to make sure i do my homework.
It seems there are a few companies that issue these cards, are they all above board any help would be appreciated thanks in advance.

As far as I know, they are just re-sellers, which book you onto the courses ran by the proper organisation in the first place, which is...

The test is just laughable though. It proves you can read, that's about it!

Old thread but.

Cscs cards for trades without a qualification like an nvq are in a spot of bother.
IA cards issued from 1st Jan 2020 will expire on 31st Dec 2024 and will not be renewed.

Anyone heard about this?
