Looking for a consumer unit, 10 or 12 way, that will accept 6x 3/4" and 2x 1" conduit outlets on the bottom edge, left to right in that order. Doesn't matter if there are a few extra knockouts as long as there are eight in that order. Metric equivalents are ok.

Basically, to update an existing Wylex semi-enclosed fuse and conduit installation to RCD protection. I obviously don't want to have to start pulling the conduit out, and would prefer not to have to bodge the knockouts to get the right size holes in the right order.

Any suggestions? Seen a few with the 1" knockouts in the middle, which is no use here. Doesn't matter if it's split load or not, will likely use RCBOs anyway.

Hager Design 30 range, which is available without any knockouts.
Then cut your own holes in it in the exact places required.

Thx, that sounds like a usable arrangement. If a little costly though at over £100 for an unpopulated box.

The cheap option is to fit a plastic unit inside the old cu.

And a big bonus if you can retain the metal cover.

As Andy indicates, it may be worth leaving the old box in place, fix some wood around the old box, and mount the new, hopefully larger, consumer unit over this.

Could be easier than messing around trying to drill holes in the right places - all depends how good you are at measuring and marking out.

You could use the old board as a marking template. Or even detach the top of the board, clamp it to the new one and use it as a jig
