Hello my oven door hinges are knackered along with the housing, in the oven (not the oven door) that they slide into. The hinges have been ground down and the housing has been worn away. It's so bad that the door cannot be closed properly at all now - it's usually wonky.
I've already screwed some latches to the outside of the oven to keep the door shut but now I need to replace the hinges and was thinking of getting some normal door-style hinges and screwing them in with self-tapping screws. My concern is that they won't take the weight of the door. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of the name of the type of hinge that I should search for.
The door is a pull-down type. I can post photos if that'll help.
Cheers,
Adam
