Little old lady today...pendant had disintegrated due to age.

She also said that her 'bulbs' don't last as long these days.

She believes this was because she lives in a ground floor flat and that people walking upstairs had 'worn down her electrics' over the years.

I agreed with her but reassured her that everything was safe...

IR,Voltage, EFL, RCD & ramp tests (if applicable)

What are the results on your minor works?

What brand lamps does she buy?

Does she switch them on/off a lot?

Are they in a room that is inhabited often?

What voltage are the lamps?

What voltage is at the lampholder?

Are there any loose connections associated with that lamp?
