i think i nearly just killed myself. i have just cut a wire in my loft and in a result tripped out all the upstairs lighting in my house.
Can i fix this by connecting it back together with a terminal block.
The wire Contains 4 wires.
1 brown live
1 black neutral
1 earth
1 grey ?
im not sure what the grey wire is for?
so basically i need advice if this will be ok all connected back together with a terminal choc block? or do i need to fix a new wire up there?
what amp choc bloc?
do i need to cover the terminal block with anything else light insulation tape etc as it is in the loft amongst fiber glass insulation?
im 23 years old i did a 1 year course in electrical insulation, very basic, learnt how to wire lights, sockets etc never come across this wire before but thats probabily because i dropped out to persue another career but i feel confident i can fix this with you expert advice. thanks.
ps - i know im a lucky boy thank god the fuse tripped
