Damaged wallpaper

I have wallpapered around 6 months ago and the cat has decided to scratch a corner

Behind the wallpaper is lining paper and I dont know what would be the best way to repair the damage without damaging the lining paper.

1) Strip one strip of wallpaper to the lining paper (but will this damage the lining paper)?

2) Lay a strip of wallpaper over the existing damaged wallpaper (but will the edges be too visible)?
