Hi,

I'm trying to repair a wooden sash window in order to refit new catches.
The wood has been damaged over the years before we moved in due to condensation which we have now remedied.

What's the best way to fix the wood so it is strong enough to then screw new catches into?
Pic attached.

thanks
Nigel

nigpay, good evening.

Suggest you clean out the old dead material carefully, and use a car body filler??

Ken.

Suggest you use wood gardener after the steel wire brush (to clean out dead fibres) and before the two pack filler gets applied. 2 pack filler needs a power sander -it's murder to sand by hand
