Seems to me that all that those frankly wonderful products will do for you in respect of this discussion is to run out of places to put the wires from a ceiling rose in less time than it would if you were using screw terminals.

Well, if you use two four-ways and a two-way you can replicate a standard mid-circuit three-plate setup, plus you have the spare capacity to run a live and neutral to another termination... of course you need another for the earths. Anyway, I'm going to give 'em a go and see. There's definitely a market for a slimline, high operating temperature, push-fit three-plate rose replacement.
