There is a gas pipe coming in to my house (1930s semi) about 2 bricks above the damp course. I've taken the wallpaper off and it is clearly coming in where the gas pipe comes into the meter and is saturating the wall and plaster in about a 1-2 metre radius.

Is there anything I can do to solve the problem? It is a cavity wall with insulation. Any advice is appreciated.
