Have a Charroteaux Britony Conbi boiler.
Went dead on us at the weekend. No Hot Water or heating.
Spoke to a guy who told us that the pressure was probably down on it.
Told me to turn on the filling loop tap until the pressure reached 1 Bar and then turn it off, and it would light.
It does, but as soon as you turn the filling loop tap off again, the pressure drops to zero, and the flame cuts out.
There seems to be no hot water being generated anyway.
Any ideas please as to what's causing it, and what I can do?

Many thank for any help.

Thanks Kevplumb/. Spot on!! Sorted.
Still have a problem though, I now have heating again, but no hot water!!!
We've had trouble with dirty water recently, is it possible to check any filters, and how can i do this as i suspect that one has got blocked.

Thanks in advance for your help which is much appreciated.

Seen a few of these old things, always with the same faults.
Singing like a steam engine due to scale, diverter /diaphragms weak if not holed but still just providing a bt of warm water, and always peeing water from the prv pipe. When you fix the prv and the recharge the pressure vessel (do search on that) they pee out of the automatic air vent on the back of the pump which seems to be worse than average.

Start saving up quick.

Three way diverter valve replaced. Now all OK again.
Don't need a new boiler Chris, it's only five years old anyway.
First time we've had a fault with it.

Sorry Andy, I was on about a Chaf Celtic, much older. Must learn to read.

Gasman the only cleaners you'd have in that long might be like X400, not many others!
