Hi folks

My decking is currently stained with Cuprinol Silver Birch stain - the exact product linked below

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B005A5OKOC/ref=cm_sw_r_wa_api_fabc_1ZXW74QEYRKJEG83REP7

It’s became very patchy with chunks of the paint having lifted all over.

Hindsight from the forum tells me this product should have never been used but we are where we are

So first off I need to get it lifted, or stripped. I have a karcher power washer and even using the strong power lance it isn’t lifting so I wondered if anyone had any experience of stain removing products that can help the task at hand here.

If there’s something that can help what’s the then treating and painting/staining/oiling options?

Thanks

Can I ask did u us this product on old or new decking? I used this on new decking and it washed off the same night so I did jet wash it.Most came off but not all .

Same was told by the company you need to wait 3 to 6 months before you can apply anything so I just left mine and see what happens in June .I asked if I could use a darker one to go over but said it would do the same !

No, sorry, when I say new decking I mean it hadn’t been painted before but it had been laid for about 8 months before we stained then gradually over time the paint has started lifting
