I have an old outlook.com email account, password protected, that I want to delete.

Each time Mail is opened, a login window appears requesting the account login to so Windows can confirm it for Mail, Calender and People.

Its an old account just to be rid of and can't find any account informtion.

Any suggestions ?

if you go into control panel>mail (32 bit) and click on email accounts it should list it in there (im on win 7 so may be slightly different on 8)

Sadly that doesn't appear to work with Win 8.1 but thanks for the post.

What I've noticed is that the protected outlook.com account is present in Mail, Calender and People.

I deleted a Windows Credential from the Windows User profile and deleted a folder in the registry containing the outlook.com address but the account login window still appears the account when I start Mail.
