Bottom elements are underneath the bottom of the chassis. to get to them you (depending on make and model) have to remove the base of the oven and or the back.
Usually you can remove the back to test the element and see if it has failed.

This cooker has been a pain since I bought it . now Ive got to strip it to get at the element. My luck, it is just over 2 yrs old, out of warrenty Stupid things go wrong all the time No wonder it was on sale Her indoors wants me to dump it and buy Fisher and Paykel . at least that is NZ designed, and usually bulletproof
