Hi I've got a large sewer running underground I've dug down 1.8m but can't locate it.

Is there something i can hire to help detect it? My digger wont go down any further.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

I'd try and get a idea as to depth before you go any further, Water Authority should have records. I cant imagine it's a private sewer at that depth or size, so it could be many metres more yet before you find anything. Public sewers can be extremely deep, and excavation like that is not a DIY task.....

This might sound like a daft question, but how do you know you have a large deep sewer? What information or indications do you have that lead you to this conclusion?

And why do you want to find it?

Having found it, what would you plan to do to it?
