Hello if there are any members here in Devon area close to Exeter please can you let me have your tips on where to buy small amounts of wood cheaply for shelving and DIY in the home including reclaimed materials maybe?

local timber yards are usually economical.Depends what type of timber you need, shelving for the garage and the home can be quite different.

a timber/woodyard will sell you as little an amount as you need
but you will have to use pay for the whole plank or board

There are always places around that sell seconds, but the timber is always warped or split or damaged in some way. It's usually a false economy.
