I have a DeWalt drill/driver DW907 style 2.
Two of the 3 chuck claws that hold the bits won't retract so I now cannot get to the chuck retaining screw. I have tried the hex key but it keeps slipping of the screw head because of the angle. Failure for an easy way I'll have to grind it off cutting halfway down the chuck hopefully then able to get the hex key in at correct angle.

Many thanks

have you tried wd 40 or similar

if your hex key is slipping it may be metric instead off imperial as in 3mm as opposed to 3.175mm or 6mm as opposed to 6.35mm

wd40 and leave 10 mins then tap chuck jaws down into head with a hammer, always works for me.Or ball head allen key, designed to work at an angle [remember left hand thread].
