DieDetrich Double Oven - 30c under temp

Hi,

I've got a De Detrich DMP50 oven. It appears to work perfectly except the main oven doesn't get up to temperature.

The oven seems to think it does, I set the temp on the display and it heats up and beeps when hot and holds a temperature but the temperature it holds is around 30 degrees lower than the temp displayed, verified with a separate thermometer. As the oven thinks it is at temp does that suggest it is a dodgy thermostat rather than a dodgy heating element?

Not likely to be the element.
Thermostats usually fail to full on or full off. They can sometimes wander in the temp range but not often.

Does the door close fully
Is the door seal in good condition and making correctly all round
I will assume this is a fan oven, does the fan turn very easily by hand, does it get up to a fast speed very quickly, sticking fans can cause this problem.
Is the thermostat expansion bulb mounted correctly in its clip.
