Hi all, I have a serious problem with my oven.

Long story short, the fan stopped working so did a bit of investigation, which led me to discover that it has burned out nearly all the wires on the controller.

It's 10 years old and I'm wondering if it's financially viable to repair it, bearing in mind I can get a gas only replacement for about £500?

It might be worth finding an engineer who charges a fixed fee rather than an hourly rate. In theory you should not need anyone registered for gas as they only need to work on the electrics. You could try Comet:
