disconnecting fuse

Trying to have the service fuse taken out for a few hours.

house supplied by NPower, DNO is UU.

NPower website says to contact the DNO, the DNO's website says to contact the supplier

Then they moan why people take out their own fuse...

In your experience who should i contact?

When I had my CU replaced after a loose connection in the tails from the meter caused some damage, I phoned my supplier and explained the situation, they just arranged a time for the fuse to be re-sealed.

You had the CU replaced a few weeks ago - how was that done without removing the fuse?
