What is the modern material on which to mount a consumer unit.
The chap moaned in the last house because it was chipboard.
I dont want to use wood due to he wildlife we currently are spraying elswhere in the woodwork and I wouldnt have thought metal would be a good idea.
MDF perhaps?

I have just had some meters installed by the Electricity Board in a Mill conversion I'm doing and they used a kind of fibre board to mount all the meters on. I only got there as they were almost finished and didn't get to ask what it was but I would say that MDF of a suitable thickness would be just as good.
