I'm in the process of planning a total redesign of my horrible retro kitchen and want to do as much of it by myself as I possibly can!

To that end I've been looking into laminate flooring that I can lay myself and so far I think my best bet is this company Finsa - I especially like how these black tiles look - http://www.finsahome.co.uk/faus-piedras-6-1-175-0-2935-08-pompei-negro-t31-1749

Does anyone have any experience with Finsa products? Do you reckon this is something that someone with a modicum of common sense but no experience do by themselves?

YouTube should have plenty of tutorials on laying laminate floors. I'm sure you can do it, but there are a few techniques, tips and tricks that will make your life easier and watching someone else explain them will be the fastest way to getting it

You need to check that laminte is OK for kitchens...I know the pic on that site shows a kitchen but get them to agree it IS Ok for possibly wet areas. Laying laminate is really easy, esp if its disappearing under kitchen cabinets.
