Hi

I need to get the exterior stairs/steps between my flat and the one above either sealed or asphalted (they are leaking into my outside cupboard and making the hallway pretty grim). I've been trying to get quotes from a couple of builders but they either don't turn up, turn up but don't send a quote, or just refuse the job without even looking at it. I realise it's not that big a job, but I don't understand why no-one is interested in doing it. Am I right to be trying to a builder in the first place?

I'd do it myself, but simply don't have the time, tools or skill!

Thanks in advance

Harry

you could try a specialist roofing co. that is because HOT TROWELLED mastic asphalt is a specialised roofing compound (usually) but it`s been used for floors in GLC flats for example...and stairs like yours...not a lot of people know that ;)

that`s hot trowelled ashphalt and the ****ing edit `s up the shute again
