Hi

I was looking at building a double storey side extension, my neighbour currently has a single storey but is on higher ground.

I intend to build 150mm back from the boundary as they have done with there rear extension. However they have built there garage against mine which is therefor over the boundary. My garage would be demolished and rebuilt as part of the new extension.

Would I need a party wall agreement?

Thanks in advance

No need providing your neighbour is happy with your proposal and agree to allow you to get on with it. Get it in writing if you can.

If the neighbour gets funny and tries to put a block oin things then you will need to serve notice and do it formally.
