Hey all

Had a neff cooker hood installed which is ducted to exhaust outside. It's quite high up the wall with low ceilings so the stainless steel casing needs cutting down to around 40cm. Our electrician is saying we need to use the bit with the side vents, but I don't think we need the side vents as it's ducted and vents outside. Can I cut the bottom section to size (with the bit that says Neff)? This section has fittings to attach it directly to the hood.

Also - any tips for best way to cut it down without it looking awful?

Thanks all
Auric

The vents are only needed, where it is installed to use in recirculating mode, as you are using configured to extract outdoors, they are unnecessary.

Use a good pair of tin-snips, after a bit of practise on some scrap section. Alternatively, ask a metal bashing company to cut it for you.
