God or no God? From the beginning of time, people have always needed a faith to believe in, whether it's 'Our Lord Jesus Christ', the prophet Mohammed, or follow Dharma, etc. etc. And some may say that the various bibles written were actually just elaborate stories with any facts within them exaggerated , that had been added to over previous generations many moons ago, to help people in their so-called paths to righteousness. These teachings by various religous leaders over time have had less of an impact for many reasons, whether it's due to the moral or financial corruption that has gone on within these institutions, or the fact that people see no 'personal gain' from these religions, I'm not sure.

I am a believer in kharma, in itself a faith, although I'm not a hindu nor follow Jainism. I just feel that what goes around comes around, good or bad. If a person wishes to believe in their God, then that is their right. I don't necessarily need to have it forced upon me.

Athiesm is a belief that there is no creator or no god in a nutshell, and after death thats it, if thats not a set of ideology what is mate?

people can choose to belive, thats why we have free will....I will not believe in athiest ideals like you will never belive in god or creator, shall we just end this debate now, before you snap.

How do we know? Where is the proof? I think one of your earlier posts said something like "If we haven't searched the entire universe, how do we know X can't exist?"

You don't "know" Santa doesn't exist. You may believe it, and all the evidence may suggest whether it is plausable or not. But you can't "prove" it.

In my opinion it is a delusion. A one that helped us deal with the complexities and seemingly unexplainable in a time when our knowledge of life, the universe and everything was at a minimum and provided a comfort to the dumbfounded. We don't need it anymore.
