Hi.

Ive layed some tumbled marble 10x30s in my bathroom in a herringbone pattern and im just about to seal and grout it.

Ive used 3mm spacers but where ive gone down into the shower tray and a couple of cuts and the odd few tiles the gap has closed up to about 1mm-1,5mm somthing like that.

It still looks good but im wondering if this will have any effect on the grout staying in the gap or how long the grout stays in there. will it effect the durability of it so to speak?

Providing you can get some grout in the line, to prevent the ingress of water/moisture, you should be okay. But ideally you do not want grout lines less than 2mm. As this allows a good application of grout.

Thanks for the help. It was really easy to work so i might dremel the tighter ones out abit in the wet areas. Abit of a pain in the arse as theres under floor heating and tanking to worry about but should be doable.
