Domestic loop in lighting circuit

Please could you tell me if this is an example of a series circuit... as there is one live following from each load?

No it isnt. Why?

The only series circuit you'll find in a house is fairy lights, and even these are more likely to be parallel nowadays (expensive ones anyway).
 
If you want an example of a series load, have a look at the old mains fairy lights where you have 20 x 6v lamps on a string. If you take one out they all go out.
