I would like to fit a door closer on an internal (solid MDF) door to the laundry/cleaning room.

Is a perko-type the best bet (as its the least conspicuous)? Any tips on fitting, particularly making the cylinder hole straight enough?

How thick is the MDF? Was the door just made from a sheet of MDF then? If so a perko will be too wide.
