Hello,

I am embarking on a little project to fix up my garage that has been neglected for many years, so this is likely to be the first post of many.

Firstly I want to fit a door, just a normal external door for the side entrance, not the main door. The first problem I have encountered is it size, the opening is 1980mm x 830mm. My intention is to fit a hardwood door, but I cant find a pre built frame from the usual stores thats is small enough. I appreciate a door can be planed up to 25mm each side but its the frame thats giving me issues just now. Is it a difficult to build my own frame for this?

any advice appreciated

Dave

You could buy a 78" X 30" frame and modify it, they usually come as a kit so quite simple.

Thanks for the advice. That sounds like a good idea, I didn't realise they were easy to alter.
