Hi,

I have skimmed all the threads regarding this topic and cant find the answer so here goes.

I have removed the old shot plaster from a few walls with the aim of wall boarding them. I am going to pva the walls to allow a decent contact for the adhesive. The bricks are still really dusty and I was wondering....

1. do the bricks need to be completely dust free prior to PVA'ing?

I have applied pva to one wall 5:1 and the fine loose stuff has infused with the pva thereby creating a bit of a well pva/dust covering!

2. does the adhesive need to be applied to dry or tacky pva?

3. i assume its best to stick with the "branded" products for the best results. eg gypwall lafarge etc

cheers
