You still need a double pole isolator local to appliances which contain a heating element.
Is the element situation because of the high load assumed with an element or something else.We use triple pole switches for bathroom.L1 L2 Neutral connections ,is this so you can work on the fan without disturbing the lighting circiut it is being fed from.Also would you need the triple pole switch if the fan was on its on circuit
