Dover...

To be fair I never saw that choice
Nobody did, but hey ho, JBR was one of those who had the two page ballot.

Funny, when we voted on Brexit I can't recall there being anything on the ballot paper about leaving the Customs Union, nor any attempt to explain what that would mean (by the Leave campaign, that is)

In a population of more than 60 million I would. But then, your hero almost got Brexit done, but that's enough, isn't it?

The fact is that it is hardly a resounding majority, is it?

A majority is a majority is a majority. The terms of the referendum didn't call for it to be 'resounding'.

De Gaulle? He may have been an ex-army man (of the French army though), but didn't he scuttle off to us as soon as he saw the writing was on the wall, just like a little French 'hero'.
And then, after we and the Americans, and others, liberated France, back he came pretending to be the conquering hero.
Then later, when we wanted to join the Common Market, he said 'non'.
No, he isn't one of my heroes!

Yeah de Gaulle

Took refuge in the UK living in luxury stuffin his self with quails eggs and champagne

Than strutted through Paris like he was some type of liberator

Lanky scoundrel

That’s because the referendum only asked the question of in or out the EU

Same thing will happen in any Scottish independance referendum

Independance yes or no

Same type of thing as the EU referendum really

Simplistic question

Only happened at one end, the end manned by the French. No delays at the end manned by UK customs. Yes, it really is that simple.
There is an important difference

The EU control their borders and check passports properly

The Brexit Britain doesn’t control its borders

You do realise border controls at Dover/Calais are juxtaposed under the Le Touquet agreement. You do realise that don't you?.

Notch7 admits he hasn't a clue what's going on.

Do you mean that the French inspect the passports at Dover?
So they are checking correctly causing a delay ?
Or do you mean something else ?
I am not sure who hasn't a clue what's going on.

Would you care to explain that to JBR please.
He appears to think there were different choices of brexit available.
Poor fellow apparantly voted for something he didn't want

Le Touquet agreement is about where customs post is located, not the quality of the checks.

Filly admits the English border post doesn’t do adequate checks.

Whilst the French one carries out the checks Fillyboy voted for.
Bizarre innit. Gammon Brexers thumping their chests bleating "no more migrants" whilst bemoaning about strict border passport checks.

Brexit - utter pile of poo.
