Hello,

Hopefully an easy one here. The downlights in my bathroom have packed in. I can't change the bulbs because a glass bezel has been installed with no other access to change them.

I want to change them so that when they pack in again I can just remove the normal clips. Is this an easy job and what would I need? I basically need a version of the bezel I have attached pics of but without the glass.

Many thanks in advance,

Kris

In short, no. They’re like that in a bathroom so steam etc doesn’t get into the roof/floor rot the timbers.

You can get them with bezels that aren’t siliconed on so you can’t get them off though

All I mean is some muppet has used silicone or caulk to either tidy the finish or hold the rings up - hence your difficulty in getting them out.

Any IP65 rated downlight fitting will be fine - I would go for something with a built in LED so you don't need to change them for a LONG time but it's your choice.

Every light fitting sold in the UK is IP rated
