Draining down a combi heating system.
I can only find drain cocks that you connect a hose to, I am aware there are some with a Hozelock fitting.
Either way - you need to have a hose pipe trailing across floors (and in this instance - down stairs) to a drain.
Would it not be better to install a gate or ball valve - and fit a run of copper pipe to a drain.
Only downside is if someone were to poke around, turn say a ball valve and accidentally drain the heating system.
What is the diference between a Type A and Type B cock.
Thanks
