Hello everybody,
I live in a bungalow on my own, and I work abroad quite a lot, usually for about 4-6 weeks alternately away then home.
Whenever Ive been before, I have allways closed the stop tap inside, as you would.
I want to go a step further next time, (mid january) and completely drain the system, there are drain taps on all rads, so nearly all the system can be dr ained easily, but....how do I drain the boiler, if flow/return go up into the loft, then drop down to rads, (no pipes going down from boiler).
Boiler is a Glow Worm 24hxi.
Ther is what looks like a small drain screw on the flow pipe behind the inner casing, but is called a vent screw in the book, can I use this to drain?
Thanks.
