I'm not sure if this is in the right section, but anyway...

We have low voltage downlighters thoughout upstairs and it starting to annoy me how much of a draught is coming through them, particularly over our bed.

Is there any way of draught proofing them, short of replacing them with a rose and pendant?

A set of fire hoods would work.

As would some clay plants pots, with a hole for venting.

As would GU10 firerated fittings which come in a (nearly) sealed case

As would lagging the loft correctly, having used these 1st

or even these

Thanks for the info.

I agree that it would have been better to have done it properly first time around, but it seems the house was developed by messrs bodgit and scarper back in 2005

I'm thinking of either the fire hoods or the GU10 fittings as both can be installed from below. My lofthatch is tiny and the opening above isn't much bigger.

Any pros and cons of one over the other?
