Drayton Tempus 7 Heating Control - Anything we've missed?

Something is odd with our heating. Around Christmas, gas heating and hot water stopped working so we had none. Then, it suddenly started again. Now we've discovered that we can't turn the heating off. If the hot water is on, we get heating as well.

Here's a photo of our control. As far as we can see, this is correctly set for no heating, but the heating is coming on and the radiators are heating up. I've found an instruction leaflet online, and can't see any hint of anything we might be doing wrong with the settings.

Is there anything we've missed re: settings, or is this something that needs to be fixed. (Not by us, rented house).

Also, is it likely to be the remote pump? If so, we have to clear out bookshelves before the heating engineer arrives, as the pump is under the floor and we'd have to lift the carpet.

probaby a diverter valve sticking...silver boxed lump of brass ..normally near the hot water cylinder. have a look
