hi,

just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to fill this little hole on my wood flooring without replaying it

Thanks!

That looks like a small knot hole or chip in the top veneer rather than anything structural, so no need to replace the board.

The simplest fix is a wood floor repair filler or hard wax repair kit. They come in different shades and you can blend colours to get close to the surrounding grain.

What I’d do:
  • Clean the hole out so there’s no loose dust.
  • If it’s slightly deep, use a hard wax filler rather than a soft one.
  • Melt or press the filler in slightly proud of the surface.
  • Once set, carefully scrape it flush with a plastic scraper or credit card.
  • Lightly buff to blend.
If your floor has a matt lacquer finish, try to match that rather than going too shiny. The key is not overfilling or sanding aggressively, especially with engineered boards as the top layer isn’t thick.

From normal standing height, a well-colour-matched repair like that will be almost invisible.

Definitely not a board replacement job.
