Hi - I need to drill some MDF wardrobe doors for concealed hinges. I have the correct boring bit, but no drill stand. Is a drill stand necessary, or should I be OK after a bit of practice on some scraps? Any advice on this and drill speed etc. will be much appreciated.

A cordless will do the job, just take it easy so you don't go all the way through, it helps to make a simple jig to lacate the drill rather than measure each time.

I think I have a slightly different job, but here seems a good place...

Fitting solid oak kitchen doors to carcasses with factory fitted hinges.
I'm aware that all it takes is a cicular bore in the correct place... but I'd really appreciate some handy hints so I dont sod it up/end up with wonky doors.

All help gratefully received :)
