Hi everyone.
I'm sure this is gonna sound very naive (which i am) but i need to drill above my window & hitting something rock hard ... I'm assuming its a steel beam or Lintel :?: ... I've knackered (blunted) 3 Masonery drill bits so can anyone suggest what kind of drill bit i would need ??

Thankyou

Be sure not to drill with that bit with the hammer action on or you will have 4 busted bits ;)

Bosch 36 volt liion sds drill and some new sds bits.
I can hammer through 5mm plate steel with a new sds bit
makes the thing last about 5mins lol

Masonry bits - hammer all you like, thats what they are designed to do - hammer.
HSS, wood or other types should not be used on hammer, they drill by cutting rather than bashing.
