Drills ?

Looking to get a drill for doing work around the house.

As a complete novice i'm not sure if I should get a seperate hammer drill and normal drill, combi-drill or do I need both?

in general an 18v hammer drill will cover most most jobs except possibly into lintles above windows

IMO corded drills are a good choice for occasional DIY use.
Battery drills are good if you are going to use them often, but if you just want to drill one hole then put it back in the garage for six months, you will end up spending a long time re-charging it, and little time using it.
