dry rot in a trellis

I have dry rot in a trellis outside my house. The trellis is only a few centimetres from my basement door - what are the risks that the rot could spread to my house?

I am replacing parts of the trellis, which supports several mature climbing plants. What precautions should I take to stop re-infection and spreading?
