Having my dry verge sorted as some of the caps keep on blowing off. As it stands there is a 2-3 inch overhang from the wall and it looks like the dry verge has just been screwed into the wet verge and don't even come close to the batterns. Proper cowboy effort by the looks of things. Had a roofer around and he's quoted us £700 to strip it all down removing all mortar, cut back the overhang so flush with wall including the soffits and fascia and refit them properly. About 15 caps in total either side of ridge.

Does this seem a fair price?
