Hello.
What is the best way to control an immersion that has two elements with an economy 7 tarriff
The bottom element is on the off peak supply
The top element is on the peak supply.

Both are controlled by a simple switch.
Is it just best to leave the off peak switched on all the time, and let that heat the water, until the thermostat stops calling?

Would it be a good idea to add a timer function on the peak supply.
Should the off peak also be timed?
If so, what would people recommend for a timer to control both supplies

Thanks.

Yep, have it set to take a full charge, every E7 period, you are in the house.

The usual method is to have a 'one shot' button - you press the button and it brings the top section of the cylinder up to temperature and shuts down. You can buy special controls for this, someone will provide a link.
