is it OK to run DW/WM fills off a combi?. I've been doing it for 2 years wo/o problems but am about to fit a new combi and want to know if its demend OK.
Any suggs on good makes for combi's welcome (want max hw rates per min) :o

thanks

Dish washer/washing machine are ok with a combi, except that a dishwasher is cold fill

certainly, what i do (normally she does), as the WM is next to kitchen sink i run the HW till it's hot then start WM as the dead leg of my HW is approx 20Metres.

As for DW I've only seen cold fill ones only (i stand to be corrected though)

thanks - will check dw but know it's got a red screw end meaning hot - no?

1 pipe with a red end - its a Hotpoint. Anyhow, due to the way it's fitted in (integral) I don't fancy getting in behind and swapping it to cold - the bottom line it therefore that if it won't damage either combi or dw (as you are telling me), I'll leave well enough alone. (plates seem pretty clean too)

A lot depends on your mains pressure/flow and whether you like showers.
You in shower + WM HW draw comes on means trub for you unless (or even with) thermostatic/pressure balanced shower mixer.

If mains is poor and you in shower and cold-fill-only machine come on, you still showering on air.

For best HW performance from combi you need heap good mains supply and fattie gas pipe from meter to boiler - lots dosh to replace sometimes.

Look at Vaillant fattie combie (Aquaplus) and 837. If all supplies good then you and machine get on OK together.

Why me speak like this? Me don't know.

Blimey Kwis- I neeli mooved to Slurry wen I livvd in Lundun. Naah me sx axshent aint sandi toow bad!
